Trail Ride Program
There are several club horses are available for guided trail rides. The safety and enjoyment for all participants are the primary goals of the Equestrian Center , your cooperation with the safety guidelines and trail etiquette is appreciated.

TRAIL RIDING PROGRAM POLICIES:
· A group of riders with various levels of experience will be conducted at the level of the rider with the least experience.
· If a ride is not completely booked, other members and guests may accompany a ride.
· For a private ride 4 horses must be reserved.
· Trail rides are available for qualified Members and Guests who are 7 years and older and over 42 inches in height. There is a maximum weight of 250 lbs. to ride a club horse.
· The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch provides ASTM helmets, if you choose to bring your own it must be an ASTM approved helmet.
· Helmets are recommended for all riders at all times while riding Ranch Club horses. Participants younger than 18 are REQUIRED to wear helmets at all times. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are REQUIRED to ride club horses. Boots and jeans are recommended for additional safety and comfort while trail riding.
· All riders must sign a Waiver that releases, holds harmless and indemnifies The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch and its affiliates from any and all liability, cost or expense relating to the use of the Equestrian facilities or The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch horses.
RESERVATIONS:
· Two rides are available Wednesday thru Sunday, November through March. Trail rides will be available Tuesday thru Sunday, April through October. Trail rides accommodate four guests and one guide.
· Trail rides require advance reservations of 48 hours, which can be made through the Equestrian Manager. Please be aware that the preceding or following rides may be reserved and in the event that you are late for your ride, the amount of time lost will be taken off your ride as the horses must return to the Equestrian Center at a specific time to be prepared for the next ride. The cost of the ride will remain the same and be charged to your account.
· To reserve an experienced, non-guided trail ride, Members and Guests must attend an Equestrian Orientation. If you and/or your guest have not attended an Equestrian Orientation you will be considered novice.
· When booking a ride, give the approximate height, weight and age of each rider. You may reserve a picnic lunch from Cabana Grille "To Go" menu in addition to your ride.
CANCELLATION:
· Trail rides require 24-hour cancellation notice. In the event that you do not cancel and do not use a reserved ride, your member account will be charged for the full fee unless the ride is filled.
· In the event of inclement weather, The Club, or member may cancel the trail ride with no charges to the member account. Trail Rides may also be cancelled if the footing on the trails is too wet in the interest of safety for both riders and horses. |
